Abstract

In this work, the effects of weight percentage content of magnetite nanoparticles on the gamma-ray shielding parameters of the nanocomposite fabricated from these nanoparticles in PDMS matrix were determined and analyzed. These parameters include the linear attenuation coefficient (LAC), the mass attenuation coefficient (MAC), the half-value layer (HVL), tenth-value layer (TVL), mean free path (MFP), and effective atomic number (Zeff).
